Few days back I got a phone call from a person. He asked me "is it Dharmendra Kumar? I said yes. Then he asked "you from XYZ limited (my present company)?
I thought he must be some job consultant so I told him yes; I am working with XYZ limited (my present company)?
Then he told me “Sir I am from New York Life Insurance, would you like to purchase this policy”.
I got angry and asked him how you got my number. He said XYZ limited (my present company) provided the number.
He told me if you purchase this policy your HR person who provided my number to him) would get commission for this.
Oh my god! My own company HR people are providing my personal information to earn some money. Is it legal?
HR people provide your contact details etc to each insurance company and loan providers so that they can earn maximum amount without your permission.
That is why we get calls from every insurance company daily. If HR is not taking permission from you and providing your information for few rupees then it not at all fair for that employee to work in that company. He is being cheated by his own employer.
