IDEAS GET LOST – JUST WRITE IT DOWN

Writing down an idea seems to be very silly thing but it really makes a sense. Ideas get lost and our mind does not recall the same idea some time. An idea is like a pen you like the most. Pen get lost easily similarly ideas are also lost easily. Sometime when a good idea is lost we miss it like crazy. So best idea is; just write down the idea as soon as it hits our mind.

Writing an idea is not a big deal, everybody carries a pen with him. Write down the idea as soon as it clicks you. You can write the idea as a hint on our hand if you do not have paper ready with you. If you can carry a small personal pocket diary it can help you most.

It is not necessary that idea you have written will be implemented immediately, it may take have some time but you will have it handy and ready to use.

I know one person who really used this idea of writing down the ideas. This person is a professor in a university. He used to have a notebook with him and wrote all the ideas in notebook. Today he is having an around 10 notebooks, full of ideas related to his field. And you know what he has patented his ideas in US. Yes we can protect our ideas also if you patent them; provided you have some written proof.

So it will be great if we have a pen (pen which we love to write as soon as we get opportunity to write) and a small pocket diary with us and write down all the ideas in it.

New Champ: Big Cheque or Big Company

Every one of us works to get a big cheque. This is my thinking and this is what I get to know through my experience. Every one of us has a target in our life and we all want to achieve targets as soon as possible. All our needs are related to money only. Everybody who is working a big company not necessary is getting a big cheque and this is main reason people change their job very frequently in their initial phase of the job career.

Benefit of Working in Big Industries

a. You get a big tag with your name (like I am working as manager in TATA Motors)

It is not necessary that every big company gives you big cheque. Most of the manufacturing industries do not offer big amount to their employees. You only get company’s name just to show off.

b. Job Security

Yes, I agree big company are stable enough hence we get good job security. But only job security does not fulfill our all requirements. If your want to grow, you should have enough in hand salary.

c. Promotions

Promotions generally change your roles of working but not your routine work. I started working as design engineer (GET) and now I am manager. I still work as design engineer.

d. Good Working Environment

You get enough freedom to stay cool. Need to work in hurry always. See the working environment of ITC.

e. Systemic Work Process

You get very thing in plate already, you need not to arrange anything by yourself. Means you need not to learn that process again. You are missing something.

Benefit of Working for big cheque

a. You generally get big cheque not a big name.

Suppose you get 8lacs/annum in your very first year of job. Does it excite your or a big company which with you 3lacs/annum as a GET?

b. Need not to wait for your number.

If your work hard you get promotions automatically. You need not to waiting for another 2-3 years to get promoted for next level.

c. You set up the processes

When you get a big cheque then is your responsibility to get the profit to the company. So you are only one who set the processes.

These are the few differences which make to working with a company who can pay me a big cheque rather than a big name. Big Name does not going to help you tell you get a good amount to fulfill your needs.

New Champ – Boss is always Right

Boss is always right! Perhaps this was the first thing I was taught by my seniors. It really does not matter from where you passed out or you have higher education certificate. Believe me, this is universal fact and you have to learn it as fast as possible.

Another thing which my seniors told was a golden rule about the boss. I was really excited to know about it. Because I wanted to know how I can make my boss understand if he is wrong. So here is the golden rule.

Rule1. Boss is always Right

Rule2. If Boss is wrong follow the first rule.

I know this is not fare but this is how company’s hierarchy works. For every boss there is another boss. And it is long chain.

There are few things which make a boss “an always right boss”.

Experience – He has more experience and exposure to the company than you.

Seniority – He is senior in hierarchy irrespective of domain knowledge.

Ego – He does not want to listen No.

Polities – He wants to be a faithful employer to the company. So he plays tricks with juniors.

Attitude – He is from a well known institute or having higher education background.

This is not necessary that boss is always right. But you can’t prove him wrong. "Boss is always right" can be seen anywhere starting from a local shop to the big industry. I would like to tell you small story.

I was standing near to Tea Stall and wait to have a cup of tea there. Now

Tea Stall owner: Chhotu, deliver and give four cups of tea at building number XYZ

Chhotu: Ustaad, there are only three people , I am coming from there only.

Tea Stall owner: Abe! they always order for four cups of tea

Chhotu: but there are only three people. He insisted because he was right.

I was listening all this and tea stall was also aware that is I am listening them.

Tea Stall owner: Abe Jana, Ab tu mujhe batayega kitne chaye bhejni hai (go; now you will tell me how many cups of tea to sent).

So tea stall owner was wrong but he forced chhotu to deliver four cups of tea because he was owner and does not to listen to his subordinate.

He did not want to spoil his image in front for me (may be) because I was listening them.

So through this Blog I Just want to tell you that never fight with your boss because he is wrong. Instead search the ways to explain your point the way he can understand or you can convince him.

3D Mechanical Software - Career Scope

Hi Reader,

About CAD:
Computer Aided Design is the use of computer technology for the design of objects, real or virtual. CAD may be used to design curves and figures in two-dimensional ("2D") space; or curves, surfaces, and solids in three-dimensional ("3D") objects.

Career Scope in CAD:
CAD is an important industrial extensively used in many applications, including automotive, shipbuilding, and aerospace industries, industrial and architectural design, and many more.

Packages which are commonly used in Indian Industries:
AutoCad
Pro-e
Catia
Unigraphics
Solidworks

All of these 3D software work on the same principle. So it is very easy to learn another 3D software if you have good command over any of 3D software.

AutoCad: It is basically used for 2D drawing development. It can also be used for making 3D model, but it required very good visualization power. Most of new companies do not prefer to use AutoCAD now. It is commonly used in architectural work.

Pro-e: It is good tool for the assembly purpose and being used in automobile industry. If  you have interest in automobile then it worth learning it.

Catia: It is good tool for the surface modeling like developing the shape of Car.It is being used in automobile industry. Surface modeling tool of Catia is user friendly and exhausted in features.

Unigraphics: It is also  good software for assembling and surface modeling.

Solidworks: It is very common software to be used by different industries. Most commonly this software is used by companies which are in plastic part development.

Analysis Software:
Apart from the 3D software, there is good scope in the field of analysis software. These software are used for the testing of products on computer for example testing for stress analysis, different type strength of component, flow analysis etc.

NETWORKING: An important tool for career growth

One of the great tool for the career growth which I know is Networking. Networking is connection of one person to another. Idea of networking gave us the well known websites like Orkut, Hi5, messengers etc. Objective behind this entire website is to keep people in touch at any point of time. People understand the importance of it.

Networking is really helpful to those who are looking for the change in the jobs or looking for the first job. I give you two real life examples

Person looking for first job:

One of my college friends did not get job from the campus. He was jobless for around six months after graduation. He tried many job site portals but did not succeed in finding a first job. I was also not in touch with him for long time. One day I got a call from him, I was surprised because I did not give him my contact number. He told me he got my number from one of my friend who was in touch with this person. So I talked to him and he asked for a favor to get a job in my company. Fortunately there was a vacancy in my company and I forwarded his resume to HR. He got selected and now he is doing well in that company. He was able to get a job because of his friend circle.

Person looking for the change in job:

I worked for my first company for three years. It is good enough time to leave a company for professional growth. I have a long list of friends and me always in touch with them. I forwarded my resume to around 10 good friends of mine and I got 3 interview calls from their companies. I think 30% success rate is really descent. I was able to change my job within a month I decided to change. Networking really helped and now I make more and more friends.

I do, call my friends at regular interval by using any messenger service or mobile phone or visiting their home. I always wish them New Year or Deewali or Id because I know the power of networking.

Remember 2 idiots were able to meet 3rd Idiot because of the Networking. So moral of the Story is

1. Makes as much as good friends as possible

2. Be in touch with them. Even a one word message “hi” will work.

3. Do visit your friends

4. Never say no to your friend if in need. If you are not able to help him suggest one of your friend who can help him.

5. Networking always help in developing new relations it may be your business partner, vender development etc.

6. NETWORKING IS NECCESARY FOR CAREER GROWTH.

College - Platform to mold yourself for future

Dear College Students

College is last platform from where we start our journey of new professional life. College is the only place where we get to know about coming future.
Your last year can help you to judge whether you are going to have your desired career on not.

This is last semester of our college life which ultimately decides our field of professional career. Sometime we get what we want as a career and sometime not, perhaps many times not. We start on working what we get as an opportunity.

For Example: I wanted to have my career in “Aeronautics” but I land up with product development in plastic industry. I did not even try to change my field after I got into plastics field. I got my first job from campus in a plastic industry so I made in my career.

During my college time, I noticed that around 5% of students get what they desired. Actually they use the last career platform as a last chance to get what they always wanted.
I notice these 5% were the toppers of their respective branches. They really worked hard with 100% determination. One of the Best Example is “Chetan Bhagat” who was my senior in IIT Delhi. This man used college platform and achieved what he wanted to achieve.

Through this Blog I wanted to share that College is your last Platform to mold yourself for future. So use it in a planned way.
